Utilizing the Legislative Process to Protect Patient Freedoms
11:00 AM – 11:45 AM
Saturday, October 21st
The state legislatures and the bills they pass or reject have dramatic impacts on the rights of patients to access their choice of care options, including natural and holistic modalities. The lecture will focus on the need to protect medical freedoms through the legislative process, legislation currently being considered that will protect or enhance choices and access for patients, and how to advocate successfully in order to achieve desired legislative outcomes.
Crystal Hunsicker is a Director of Pennsylvania Medical Freedom Alliance (PAMFA) and a mother of 4 beautiful children, 2 of which are vaccine injured. She advocates for all medical freedoms in Pennsylvania. She believe that all patients and parents should have the right to choose or to refuse medical treatment options. She worked in the medical field for many years, and knows that nothing is one size fits all when it comes to medications.
Through Pennsylvania Medical Freedom Alliance, she works for maintaining for patients and their families the freedom to choose the types of medications, treatments, and services that they feel is best for them, and facilitating the most unfettered possible access to those treatments. Members of the group, including Crystal Hunsicker, have been active advocating for bills to legalize medical marijuana, to increase access to proper treatments for Lyme disease, to protect choice in palliative care options, and require informed consent prior to administration of inoculations.
